Dr. Thmoas Verrier  - 藝術顧問

Thomas E. Verrier is Director of Wind Studies and Associate Professor of Music at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music. He serves as the artistic director of the Vanderbilt Wind Ensembles and coordinator of the school’s five-year program in teacher education. His duties also include undergraduate and graduate level courses in conducting, pedagogy, and education.

With a diploma in Performance and Music Education and advanced degrees in Instrumental Conducting and Literature, Dr. Verrier is an active conductor and clinician praised for his artistic approach as well as his pedagogical knowledge. He is especially known for his creative programming that balances both traditional and contemporary literature and for his special interest in the commissioning of new music. He has won critical acclaim from composers including Karel Husa, Joan Tower, Michael Torke, Michael Daugherty, Steven Mackey, Frank Ticheli, David Maslanka, Joseph Turrin, and Andres Valero-Castells for his interpretive conducting of their compositions. Dr. Verrier’s interests in collaborative arts and organic creativity have led to his studies at The John Strasberg Studios, An International Center for Creativity and Theater Arts Research in New York City.

In addition to his responsibilities at the Blair School, Dr. Verrier maintains a busy international schedule. He has conducted concert tours in Europe and China, and his ensembles have performed at conferences of the International Society for Music Education (Tenerife, Canary Islands), the Asian Pacific Band Directors Association (Macau), the College Band Directors National Association, and the North American Saxophone Alliance. Dr. Verrier serves as Conductor and Artistic Director of the new Vanderbilt Music Acadèmie, in conjunction with the annual Festival International d'Art Lyrique et de Musique in Aix-en-Provence, France. He has accepted invitations to conduct throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, France, and Spain, and while on leave from Vanderbilt University in 2008, Dr. Verrier will serve as Visiting Scholar and conductor at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies for the spring term and teach a summer conducting course in Utiel (Valencia), Spain.

Dr. Verrier is an active member of the College Band Directors National Association; he is the organization’s National Executive Secretary. He also has a leadership role in the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensemble, serving as Communications Director for the 2009 International WASBE Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.

周詠琴 - 音樂總監及首席指揮

畢業於香港浸會大學，周氏主修長號演奏及教學法，師隨 Roger Cutts 及 Philip Brink。一九九八年周氏獲香港浸會大學頒發音樂學士〔榮譽〕學位，並於同年獲香港演藝學院頒授獎學金，於該校進修長號演奏專業文憑 。

演藝學院畢業後，周氏考獲香港賽馬會獎學金及波士頓藝術學校獎學金，遠赴美國波士頓藝術學校 (The Boston Conservatory, School of Music ) 深造，並於二零零二年獲得長號演奏碩士學位。在美修讀期間，除師隨 Lawrence Isaacson 學習長號及教學法外，更獲得Scott Hartman, David Ohanian 及 John Faieta 的教導。

此外，周氏曾與波士頓的傑出長號手組成 Boston Invitational Trombone Ensemble (BITE) ，並於二零零一年奪得國際大獎 Emory Remington 長號合奏比賽第二名。除了專注於長號演奏外，周氏跟隨 Dr. Peter Cokkinas開始了專業的指揮訓練，並曾獲邀擔任 Berklee College of Music 管樂團的客席指揮。

周氏現積極發展教育工作，並於各中、小學擔任管樂團指揮及銅管導師。回港發展後，周氏繼續向 Jerry Junkin, Richard Floyd, Robert Carnochan, Richard Clary, Paula Holcomb, Thomas Lee及 Thomas Verrier等名師學習指揮。周氏現為香港管樂合奏團 (Hong Kong Wind Ensemble) 的音樂總監兼首席指揮，並為樂聚製作 (Music Performance Production) 的主席。

莊雪華 - 駐團導師

莊雪華十歲開始於音樂事務統籌處學習，一九九四年考入香港演藝學院初級音樂課程，並於一九九七年獲頒演奏文憑證書。同年，莊氏於香港演藝學院繼續修讀音樂學士課程，主修長笛演奏。在學期間，師隨Margaret Crawford、Simon Channing、Andrew Nicholson、Emer McDonough 及 Linda Stuckey。

二零零零年，莊氏以優異成績畢業於香港演藝學院，並獲頒一級榮譽(長笛演奏)音樂學士銜。與此同時，她獲英國皇家音樂學院頒發怡和獎學金，遠赴英國曼徹斯特皇家北部音樂學院深造，師隨Professor Peter Lloyd、Karen Jones、Patricia Morris 及 Joanne Boddington等。莊氏於二零零二年以優異成績畢業。

莊氏現為香港管弦樂團、香港小交響樂團之特約長笛及短笛樂手，並任教於香港中文大學及香港演藝學院。

林美瑜 - 駐團導師

林美瑜就讀保良局總理聯誼會第一中學期間，隨何兆華先生學習單簧管，兩年後跟隨前香港小交響樂團單簧管首席隨蔡國田先生學習。一九九二年，林氏考入香港演藝學院，開始其專業之音樂訓練，主修單簧管。其間繼續跟隨蔡國田先生學習，一九九四年獲頒演奏文憑證書。

同年，林氏於香港演藝學院繼續進修，主修單簧管，副修鋼琴，並分別於一九九七及一九九八年獲頒學士學位及演奏專業文憑證書。其間師隨香港管弦樂團低音單簧管手 Michael Campbell，香港管弦樂團單簧管首席Andrew Simon 及香港著名鋼琴家許寧。

畢業後，林氏與幾位志同道合的朋友合組了兩隊木管五重奏(香港木管五人組、木人巷木管五重奏)，及一隊單簧管四重奏(蔡田四重奏)，至今曾以室樂形式作出多次公開演出。二零零二年第十五屆亞太管樂協會年會，林氏以獨奏者身份，獲邀與香港青年管樂演奏家於廣州演出。

林氏現為多個樂團之特約單簧管樂手，曾合作之樂團包括香港小交響樂團、香港管弦樂團、澳門室樂團、香港愛樂管樂團、Hong Kong Strings、香港愛樂團等。林氏由二零零一年起擔任港青年管樂演奏家之委員，二零零七年一月起擔任香港管樂合奏團之駐團導師。除演奏以外，林氏亦很熱 愛教學的工作，現於高主教書院及保良局第一張永慶中學任教單簧管，致力培育新一代的管樂愛好者。

尤氏畢業於香港浸會大學主修鋼琴演奏，並於二零零零年以優異成績考獲香港演藝學院專業鋼琴演奏文憑，師承郭嘉特先生。零二年於美國德州奥斯汀大學考取鋼琴碩士，師從 Lita Guerra教授。

她曾参加多個音樂節包括Aria Academy of Music (Indiana, USA)、Russian Piano School at Freiburg, Germany 及Lourmarin Piano Festival in France。尤氏曾参加多位名師的大師班，包括Boris Berman、Claude Frank、Gerald Whelms、Monique Duphil、Christopher Elton、Angela Cheng、Marian Hahn、Yong-Hi Moon、 Sergei Dorensky及Anton Nel。

尤氏現時為香港演藝學院之伴奏，香港教育學院任鋼琴導師，並為樂聚制作節目统籌及香港管樂合奏團的樂團經理。
